I also like it, over my 250 it has...
An Extra 6hp.
An extra 4 lb/ft torgue.
Inch bigger front wheel.
1cm wider rear wheel.
Bigger brakes.
More Storage.
Better dash.
Still has fog lights.
Looks good, far prettier than the X10 (in my opion of course).
Price, I've heard it's going to be just over $4000 Euros, so around £4000-4300 i'd guess.
A far better replacement for the current 'GTS 300'. The only thing I don't like to much is where
the indicators are. I believe it's really designed to take on the Kymco downtown. SYM and Kymco
do seemto have a little rivalry going on.

Wouldn't be surprising as they are the top 2 Taiwanese makers! I imagine their home market competition must be REALLY intense!

Must admit it looks to be impressive, though not especially cheap at £4300 (about the same as the Beverly 350 Sport Touring or Honda SH300)
However, I'm a bit baffled by Sym's range - they recently announced the Maxsym with a 400cc 33bhp engine, now they announce another big Maxi, this time with a 300cc engine and 30bhp - not a huge amount of difference.
Curiously the Sym website lists my local poncey bike dealer as a Sym dealer, though there is no mention of Sym on said poncey bike dealer's website....the other local Sym dealer is a very dubious concern primarily concerned with selling mopeds to kids, who I wouldn't trust to service a lawn mower.

Grumpy, you'd have to ride the 400 Maxsym and the 300 Joymax to feel the difference. I rode the Maxsym 400 last week and it was almost identical to my Burgman 400 in it's power delivery. It was just brilliant. It has considerably more power going to the back wheel than the 300 joymax inspite of the joymax being 29ps at the crank. The bigger the engine, the lower the pumping losses are at the rear wheel...usually! Gotta say, I love that 300 Joymax and the 400 Maxsym too. But I'm happy with my Burgman for the forseeable future.

I likeit too, bar those big mirrors. Think I prefer the Downtown though. Seems SYM prices aregetting on par with the other makes apart from the smaller scoots.

Phantom, what do you get to the gallon out of your current GTS model.

Very nice like the built in fogs.
