Well riding a bike is the one place you can go out in public wearing leather.

I guess the scootering equivalent would be the "Comedy Mod", generally someone of middle to old age who rides a newish Vespa PX or LML covered in chrome bars and mirrors and who squeezes their generally overweight ageing body into a parka or boating blazer, sta pressed trousers, and desert boots or jam shoes

I guess it takes all sorts and if it makes them happy to dress like they did in their teens then fair play to them but it does provide some amusement on the trad scooter rallies

Ok, soooo all these cyclists wearing their flashy dayglo one piece race replica suits and stuff look odd to ?
There are more of these than bikers, no one mentioned them, skin tight shorts with a big bum patch to stop rubbing,
Leathers are safety equipment, dont knock it, if it can save a life, who cares what it looks like.

Its probably because this is a scooter forum that it gets mentioned on here. Go on bike radar and see the topics of middle aged men in lycra (MAMIL), they get loads more stick on there than leather clad superbike wannabe's have had on here

Yep scooter forum, but they look stupid too. London is rife with them, the day after some jock won some frog cycle race, they were out in force trying to race each other and generally get in the way of other traffic.

I especially love when they pull directly in front of a leather-clad crotch-rocket at a red light, wiggle back and forth on their peddles so-as to not put a foot on the ground, then when it goes green (and given they only have one gear/fixed wheel) they are agonisingly slow to take off, all the while Mr Leather-Crotch is revving the shit out his super bike in frustration

Bet you wished you looked as good in lycra - it leaves nothing to the imagination! You can tell a blokes religion in them!
