Nope. You start with your next fuel up. Just put in the odometer reading and the number of gallons. The first entry won't give a result. The next one will.

UPDATE:
ok so they rang me today. It would appear that for all this time i have had the bike (16/06/12) it hasn't even had the right drive belt on it. So its been causing damage to the whole transmission. The belt hasn't been giving me the correct gears. So this might explain my crap fuel range. It also might explain some of the shaky-ness i have been experiencing.
I need a new belt, which is going to cost me £130. They also said it would cost £340 quid to fix the damage in the transmission, but they also said its not worth spending the money on it?
They have no idea yet what is causing the front end shaky-ness, as they can't find any damage to the wheel or forks. They will wait until the new belt has been fitted & road test it again.
I'm not going to get the bugger back till wednesday, and i have to fit a new topbox & givi tall screen to it wednesday ready for me going back to newcastle thursday morning

barryG - I'm going to look into that side of things, as up to now its cost me over £500 in repairs so far, and that doesn't take into account if i decide to spend the extra £340 getting transmission fixed.
ridinhigh - if you look at my original post, i mention i hit a really big & deep pothole @ 30mph which was caused by flood damage. The incident was unavoidable.
Ever since then the bike has been shaky. it was NOT before this. I've told Suzuki that this bike has been used a courier in london, and not been very well maintained. They believe it could have had an accident or minor bump in the past, as there are some scratches on the right side front wing panel near to where your right foot would rest. I won't know any more until Tuesday afternoon

Sorry to hear about your trouble but out of curiosity, what exactly is 'damaged' in the transmission to warrant £340 ?

Without knowing the full facts I would be a little suspicious. Is some thing bent, broken or missing? Folk have had belts break before now and wrap around the variator pulley but escaped unscathed. I have run cheap pattern belts without issue and have one fitted at the moment.
I assume the garage are being honest and upfront but what is 'damaged'?

MY thoughts too, not much inside tranny case on a burgman 400, variator belt clutch ,dont think they have a aux belt roller
for £340 you could get new clutch new variator rollers and belt
