Hello Pete and welcome :)
I had a X8 400 for a couple of years and can thoroughly reccomend one ( or a Xevo 400 ) as an upgrade from a 250. As others have mentioned a 400 is a great balance of performance and fuel economy. I used to get around 68 mpg from mine & it never felt out of its depth on Motorways as a 250 can at times when riding up inclines or into a headwind.

I regret selling mine sometimes to be honest but would have another tomorrow ( funds permitting )

X8 250 cc is pretty unstable in heavy winds and in the turbulence of heavy traffic. I assume the 400 cc to be much better due to the extended wheelbase & weight. Am I right?

I am also interested in Kymco DT. It has only 300 cc, but it has more or less the length of the x8/Xevo 400.
Any experience of DT in heavier winds.
