ANYWAY...getting back to the story. It does claim that Suzuki will produce entirely new 400 & 650 Burgers. I did wonder, as Suzuki have a habit of doing lots of stealthy updates.

I wonder if the fact that they are both being redone indicates that there will be rather more commonality between them than the current models?? Personally, I hope that the new versions are less grand tourers and a bit more fun, though I'm sure many will disagree.

You can get Google Chrome for Mac; far superior to Safari, and will give you the option to translate web pages with the click of a button.

The trouble with Chrome is that you have to sign to use it, the small print tells you that they will track all the sites you visit and they can use this gained information any way they wish. . well thats the general jist of it

You do not have to sign in to use it, I never have, and never will. Also, the tracking thing can be 'got around' if you so wish to do so.

**edit** I am so anti 'signing in' to Google, that I actually gave up my Youtube account, when Google bought them out, rather than be forced into having a Google account.

Sign to install it not sign in to use it ( I was unclear in my English before – sorry ) but it may have changed now. The last time I looked at the small print, you had to tick a box to say you had read it and agreed to it to let the installation complete. It was in this small print that they said they would track all users and keep this info linked to the user in thier data base for them to do with as they please.

I have tried software called ‘do not track’ but when using it with win7ent 64bit and IE9 with Hotmail and other software it screws it up, however this bug might now have been fixed so perhaps a revisit is in order.
Do you know of any other unobtrusive software that stops tracking?

Maybe this would be better if we left this thread and started a new one as I find it very interesting and maybe you could offer me more advise because like you I see no reason why other people / organisations should now more about me than I wish to let them have.

Suzuki like Honda has little grasp of the UK scooter market. Kawasaki make no bones they will never produce a scooter of any description, and 125cc geared offerings are lacklustre and over priced. Suzuki since the mass cull of dealers have struggled big time. How they expect to sell a mildly tampered GSXR1000 when it produces LESS power than the previous model shows how out of touch they are. Same for the proposed revamped Burgers. I just can't see them investing in a market they don't fully understand. Same with Honda. Churning out shite like the ill fated DN01 and toad bloated Integra won't see the sales figures soar. Just crash and burn.

At least Piaggio have recovered some ground with the Bev 350, X10 and Vespa LX125 3v. At the very least they have some understanding of the scooter concept. Shame they've destroyed the dealer network in the process!
