Well...in one of my accidents, my boots were scarred on the toecaps, so having some protection in that area might be good idea. Most bike boots are strong in that area, though without steel toe caps. You may not NEED steel toe caps, but I think they are a benefit rather than a drawback.ridinhigh wrote:but usually they have steel toe caps ,do really need them on a scooter?
There are also safety shoes with protective toe caps made of other materials apart from steel.
