That was the original listing... ;)

Here's the current one.

If after a bit of time he still thinks he wants to ignore my advice and go for one (which I secretly hope he does, cos I want a go one one! ;) )then I think we'll put his MK1 up for sale and see if he gets his money on that and then go MK3 shopping!
If he's elderly, let him have a bit of fun!

And I'm afraid it's now sold. It's in the back of a van to Portsmouth bound for Le Havre and ultimately Montpelier....

Congrats and i'm not surprised either. Cracking looking bike and I'd certainly love to be riding one round Montpelier!

Here is one that you may be interested in - they have both a black Max Mk2 and a grey Mk3

They are a Vespa dealer (in fact one of the best in London, where all of us go for service). I'm sure there is plenty of discount wiggle room...

Hang on...there's something odd there. The mk3 has the silly angled exhaust that it should, but the mk2's exhaust is also at a funny angle - but not as much as the mk3. I seem to remember my mk2's exhaust being (sensibly) horizontal. Is my memory failing, or did later versions have a different exhaust, or what's happened??

The photo has just reminded me that the mk2 had very nice wheels with curvy spokes!
