First he says that the finish under the seat is very un-BMW-like then he says that the plastics are better than the TMAX. Hmm. More Crap News  He also says that the TMAX is quicker up to 30mph. Maybe the new 530 is, the old one certainly isn't.
Its a bit flagrantly wrong though, even for a MCN journalist .....OK maybe not.

I wouldn't be that surprised that the new TMax is a bit quicker initially, as it is specifically what Yamaha have been working on - the new engine was designed to give more torque rather than power, and the mk4 is supposed to have a heavily revised variator. And of course, its signficantly lighter than the C600, let alone the C650

Correct. He also quotes wet weight of the Tmax vs dry weight of the GT. The true difference is 44kgs.....
But why compare with the GT anyway, when it's obviously aimed at the Burgman 650?
Even the C600Sport is actually 32kgs heavier than the Tmax530.

Also wrong about the so-called central-locking.........and several other things which are more matters of opinion, but which I disagree with.

Think you've got that wrong. He is quoting the DRY wieght of the TMAX with the WET weight of the TMAX. the true diff between the tmax and the c600 sport is about 20kg.

I've seen weights of 204kg (without ABS) quoted for the TMax - presumably dry weight, but I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure the C600 is at least 20kg more than the TMax and the C650 20+ more.

I test rode a C600 Sport today took it out for over an hour,I have a Tmax mk3.It long ! when i sat on it i had to move back some way to hit the back rest! very comfortable you feel less crumpled more like a MK1 or Mk2 with the leg position. You feel higher up and the screen which i had on the fully up position(no electric adjustment on the Sport) look along way away,in fact its just as good as the standard Tmax screen which it not great. Its quick seems to rev higher at slow speeds and then settles down at higher speed, revs are around the same as the Tmax 5000rpm at 70mph.
Its quick and sounds great much better than a Tmax which has a fart like sound but is much smoother the the BMW.God its feels like a Tmax all the switch gear is in the same place! heated grips and seat are a must. The dash is much better than a Tmax make a Mk1 look so old! I love all the trip information so car like!
Although i only did 45 miles and I put a £5 back in it, the low fuel light came on and I recon its not as good on gas as my well run in Tmax !
Yes its very good but the second had one they had for sale was £9995 !!!!! I could buy a second hand 2012 MK3 Tmax for £6000 and save £3995 !!!!
Its too expensive if it was £8000 it would sell in greater numbers the dealer has only sold two!!!!
I still want to ride the GT650 as I do lots of motorway miles and it looks great for that will feedback when I get round to it!
I bet it is better than a 530 and once established could worry Yamaha they need that 750 quick!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmmm adventurous pricing! Charge the same price for a secondhand one as a new one! They may be in for a long wait, as I suspect that there isn't a long waiting list for a new one....

Might be a case of second hand one immediately or face a wait for new stock to arrive.

Well, its not an Aston Martin or something. I think I'd wait for a while if they wanted me to pay silly prices secondhand!!!
