Well, in the UK, this probably means that you can safely use it for around 2 weeks every other July.....

Get some NikWax on it, it will be a little slippery at first but it will be come waterproof.

My Shad seat is not leather and is waterproof, I might sell off the old one as its cluttering up the garage.
