But surely if you're kerbside how do you expect a car turning right from the opposite direction to see you at all through a stationery car? filtering to me is going up the outside of stationery traffic into oncoming traffic (not litterally) so basically overtaking but at a low speed. LOL!

I was crossing an entrance to a cul-de-sac. There was no bus lane either side of that entrance for about 10 metres each way and it had 'Keep Clear' written on the road. The driver of the car coming in the other direction just swung into it without stopping to go into the cul-de-sac, missed another car in front of me that had just crossed the junction and went straight into me, side-on. His insurance company have already accepted liability, made me an offer for personal injury which I've accepted and are sorting my bike and other things out. As far as I know, the police (who attended the scene of the accident) are going to give him the option of being nicked or going on a driver improvement course.

Oh so you weren't in the bus lane you were crossing a junction, but all I'm trying to say it if you'd been coming up the outside of the stationery traffic it might have been a different out come, hindsight is a wonderful thing I suppose, I'm not saying you deserved what happend by the way, I wouldn't wish a bike accident on my worse enemy. So please don't think that!!

Yeah, I see what you are saying and perhaps if I had have been on the other side of the traffic he more than likely would have seen me but equally with my luck I would have been hit by someone coming OUT of the junction turning right like the fella in the video! All I know is........the road is bloody hard!!!! :(
