Although i've stopped here a few times, sometimes for a brew, i never knew it's name so you might be right. i was there after my stop at Hawes, i was at Hawes about 1.30 till 2 30. I was at this stop and left at 3.45pm, so just missed you. I don't go to Devils Bridge, i don't care for that stop at all

Anyone know what happened on the original rideout that Ady proposed? My contribution was only what i did on the day.
I didn't get to Scarborough today weather prediction was not good on that coast, so, had a run to Knott End. The sun came out, after my tea and cake, and i sat there enjoying my cigar and the day.

Re: North Yorks Rideout 21st Oct
We met up at the Farm Shop as planned. Sadly no Sunday Lunch on that day so we settled for Huge Yorkshire filled with Beef and the rest! Alan had an all day breakfast.
About 1 o'clock Steve and Ady arrived had a warming brew then we set off led by Ady. The weather was absolutely fantastic. It had been pretty foggy as we had travelled up from Leeds to Harrogate so it was great to see the Sun break through as we set off.
Ady led us along past Bolton Abbey with the woods in Autumnal colours. The Sun had brought out a fair few Sunday Trippers which held us back a little at times. Even with the mighty acceleration of the Burgmans it would have been a bit tight to get past.
We arrived at Aysgarth Falls about 3 ish and I was forced to take a Cream Scone, (reluctantly shared with the Wife), and a very nice Cuppa - thanks for asking.
Leaving Aysgarth Steve leading us back via Leyburn to Masham where we lost Ady who headed back to Northallerton. Onwards to Ripon and Harrogate, (which was very busy for some reason). Through Leeds where an incident on a roundabout with a non signalling Car caused a slight frisson of excitment. Down the M1 and Home.
Another great day out. Thanks to Ady for organising the day. Short notice, but taking advantage of a good forecast lead to a good day out. Only spoiled by having to share the Scone. The roads in North Yorks and the views are just great, I envy Sylar and Meldrew their freedom in being able to get out so often.

Re: North Yorks Rideout 21st Oct
Thanks for the update Gerard, i was a bit mystryfied why no one had commented on the day. As you know, i'm not an early bird, so i wait "till the streets are aired" as my Mother used to say, at this time of year it also gives any early morning mists or frosts time thaw out. Meldrew, i met a chap from your area on Sunday at the stop before Lancaster, he was on a 1200 frs or fjs or some such number. He left home at 7.30am for his days riding he was 82yr old, we travelled together to Lancaster then god knows where he went. When you retire, and before you cross the border to Yorkshire, we might have a meet up one day. Iam not a fan of Wagonwheels but will go anywhere for a giant eccles cake.
