Well Alan, AKA Scud and me turned up. Setting off from a damp but not actually raining or too cold Wakefield, we went accross the Pennines via a pretty misty Holmefirth. Passing a lot of parked Bikes outside the Cafe who's name escapes me. On over Holme Moss. Which was like the setting of thriller - brooding with low clouds.
Arriving at Scotts we settled in for a Mega Breakfast accompanied by tea and light rainfall. Just as it became obvious that we were on our own the heavens opened,. So after another cup of tea, a good chat and a pint of Orange juice.- the bacon was salty . We decided to head back using the Snake Pass.
Signs saying road closed ended that plan. So with nothing else in mnd we followed the diversion signs eventually coming out at The Ladybower. Turning towards Sheffield we called for a break at Sheffield Motorcycles which was extremely quiet. Over Cuppa made special as Alan paid. We both said it had been a great ride out. Challenging at times as there was no doubt wet surfaces and leaves on the road need respect. But on the other hand the atmosphere created by the low clouds etc. Made the scenery memorable. Number of Power Rangers about - zero. Apart from the bikes parked up in Holmfirth I don't think we saw more than a couple of Adventure types. Needless to say not one other Maxi but loads of hardy types on cycles. All in all a very good trip.

I was a bit disappointed that no one was going so thought f**k it i'm off. So I started on my way to Skeggy. It was a nice ride out, bit cold and a bit windy but ok. At the market rasion stop it started raining so I made my way home after a bacon sarny and a cuppa. It was still nice to get out on the Nexus for a pleasure ride and not just commuting.

I went from glossop over to holmfirth yesterday on my way to scootercrazy in huddersfield , I thought it was cold when I left manchester but there was black ice puddles on the road as I went over the hills,
, I had a couple of arse clenching moments, I came back the other way, through Marsden and over the moors.

Im not a gynecologist, but I dont mind taking a look.

Scooter Crazy. What was that about and why hadn't any body publicised it?
