OK its quite nice in the way, though I'm struggling to work out why you'd buy one of those instead of a scooter, with better luggage room and weather protection. Even the semi-auto only makes sense if it gives you far better economy than a CVT auto.
I guess the only reason to buy one is you are afraid of being called a sissy if you buy a scooter, whilst this is a macho (8bhp!!!!) bike.

Re: Kymco K-Pipe
I personally think it looks okay and it has some benfits & negatives over a similiar priced budget 125 CVT scooter.
Benefits
Higher speed - an 8.5HP SYM symply 125 will do 55mph tops. This with 0.5hp less can do 65mph (apparrantly).
Better mpg - whilst at 55mph the Symply will be flat out at high RPM & WOT. This will be at a lower RPM at
this speed and not at WOT. At lower speeds this can be put in a high gear to further lower RPM's & increase mpg.
Bigger wheels than a scooter.
Easier to get at parts - not that many panels in the way.
Can still be ridden if you only have an automatic license.
Negatives.
No storage.
No weather protection.
Exposed chain.
Still have to shift gears.
I think this would be better for out of town on A- roads as it'll do the limit whilst most budget 125 CVT scooters won't.
Obviously 125 CVT scooters with 15hp will, but they cost nearly 2X as much so it's not fair to compare it to one of them!
