Couldn't pick the frigging thing up mind you....horobags wrote:pan europeans, and bmw 1200 have body protection for dropsies, so why cant maxi's, but then again a new pan costs twice as much as a most maxi's.

Only 40 years? I've got over 50. One crash...well...only one on the road since I don't count flying off a dirt bike while playing in the mud. Stupid woman cut me off when she decided that she didn't have to stop entering the main road from a side road. A couple of scratches - on both me and the scoot - but nothing broken.2up wrote:Not so easy as it sounds in over 40 years ridingmightbesane wrote:X2gn2 wrote:Best bet is don't buy a slide kit and don't crash.

I was only counting the decades and not the odd years so not far behind you!
By the way where in the Languedoc? One of our favourite resorts is Argeles. We were there last August for a week. Normally travel by bike but not last year.

Re: Manufacturers "slide kits"
We just sold our holiday house in a little town about five miles north of Beziers. We'll be across the Pond again in April to look for a house suitable for retirement. We love the region. I only wish that the there would be more info for Americans moving there. All the English language info applies to Brits and the rules and regs are quite different for us Colonials who have thrown off the cruel yoke of English tyranny.
