Re: Standard Mileage
My nexus is a 55 plate with 31000 miles on, I do 9100 miles a year just commuting to work, so I would say well over 12-13000 miles a year.

I'll pick it up, repair it and you can do another 40,000 miles on it. Can the frame/stand be welded?

Re: Standard Mileage
My vehicles of all types are simply disposable drive trains. If I keep the bodies together, all the rest is replaceable. So my Burger, bought used 18 months ago, with 12,000 on it in its first seven years, has double that now and I'll add 12,000 in the next twelve months. High mileage? It's all relative. You'd expect a dealer to use it to his advantage.

Re: Standard Mileage
The best anyone can do is keep your scoot looking presentable and service it regularly. Then just ride it how you need to. We know dealers are going to mark it down for mileage covered, and much more if the mileage is high or higher than the regarded normal/standard miles. The AA normally tell us what is normal for cars, I wonder if they do the same for bikes? I've only cover 4,000miles in ten months on my new Burgman. Miserably low for me, but down to being laid up with an injury (not bike related). But the miles are going on it big time this year as I'm almost recovered now.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Re: Standard Mileage
I have to confess that I only do about a twelve hundred a year, but that's becasue the memsahib needs taking to work in the mornings. Otherwise I'd use it for that and it would be much higher.
I don't consider myself unpassionate about it, just unlucky in my personal circumstances.

Re: Standard Mileage
My XMax250 is nearly 3.5 yrs old and done just over 25,000 miles - I'm commuting 35 miles a day, so about 7,500 year - that seems about 'average' to me...
Any further id prolly go for a bigger scoot - so would expect a slightly larger annual mileage...

Re: Standard Mileage
When I first took out my bike insurance I had to guess how many miles I would do. I under-estimated the mileage (and the feel-good factor!) and if I wanted to change it I had to pay an admin fee.

Re: Standard Mileage
Since buying my TMax of of Lyn in April last year I think... I have done 5000 miles. But thats with a couple of months downtime thanks to being rear ended.
