This bloke near me is in his 70's and still does rallies, he's been to the last 2 Mersea Island ones...

well no it didnt make me laugh,because in those years i was riding motorcycles only, the mod scene meant nothing to me,still doesnt,

scooters for me are only from last couple of years tho i did have a lambretta 30 0r 40 years ago,

as i recall it was not very reliable,so didnt keep it more about a month

we met a bloke who was 86

he was on the top off clee hill at the time looking for his keys

he had a honda dylan and had been looking for frogspawn for some reason

anyway after the 6 or 7 of us had spent half hour looking in muddy ditches and long grass we found his keys in his pocket

we followed him down the hill again and anyone who knows this hill will know its gravel for aboout half of it and then steep road with rough grass in the middle

not one of us could keep up with him
