Hmmm...wating for the sustained 70+F that Laminar Lip say you need for their Dual Lock fastener glue to set eh???? It hardly ever gets to 70 in my part of NE England....
Beware the Dual Lock sticky fixer thingies.....they failed on my Tmax. Get some nice plastic number plate bolts or something that will be secure..

Mr Grumpy, yes indeed I am waiting for 70f for a sustained period! I have thought about screw fastenings, I think Laminar will supply FOC if requested, didn't want to drill the screen initially though as I don't really know if the lip will be good enough.

I can see your point. When one of my dual locks failed (and I very fortunately was able to collect the undamaged lip), I drilled holes right through the screen and fixings, so that everything was at the same spacing as before. Maybe the way forward is to fix the Lip on, and if you find it as brilliant as I did, then drill and bolt it to give yourself a reassurance that the Lip isn't going to take flight!

The sneaky trick with the 70F issue is to take the screen off the scoot, and take it inside the house - the temperature inside is usually about 70! This assumes your screen comes off relatively easily - the mk3 Tmax screen was incredibly difficult to take off so I was fortunate to have a warm weekend one September!

The other technique I found was, once you decided exactly where to put the Lip, to put bits of masking tape on the reverse of the screen to show you where the dual lock thingies are supposed to go, so you get them in the right place.

Good advice Mr Grumpy. I will probably end up taking the screen off!

But it seems like its been taken off the Givi website (they don't make it anymore ?) But if you hunt around, someone may have stock. Maybe some ebay shop may have it ?

Being adjustable, you find that sweet spot for winter and summer riding. Its a great screen. Set at a comfortable height, it gets rid of any annoying windnoise.
