Really need to get a ride on a 530 T-Max but finding it impossible. Visually the Yamaha seems to be a vastly superior product.

007tmaxer wrote:How are they selling ? its seems that BMW dealers are struggling to sell their demo`s at £7000! I also do not see many Tmax 530`s selling dealers still have new MK3 bikes still not selling! I to had a demo on at c600 when I was running a MK3 Tmax
and i could not see me spending 10k... so i found a rare second hand 530 a year old with 750mile for £6000 now thats what i call a more realistic price same price of my MK1 back in 2002 !!!!!!
I am going to keep the 530 until its 3yrs old then i might get a second hand c600 just for a change,I am not a Burger fan I am more of a sports scooter fan.
I've been keeping an eye on the ones coming to market and there is something fairly remarkable: there are lots of obviously ex-demo C600 but hardly a single C650. Now that might mean a lot of things, but to me it says that dealers wanted to have the sporty one in stock (because bikers want sporty bikes don't they), but that the people buying BWM's maxi are actually going for the real maxi, the C650. And are keeping them!

I did read something in MCN ( I think it was) and the BM scoots aren't selling too badly at all. They did show numbers sold compared to the Burger ( which was the biggest selling large scoot).

Somebody said BMW had allocated 200 for the UK. I saw their figures a while ago and they had already sold the majority of those back then.

I suppose the C650 is in competition with the Burgman/Silver Wing whereas the C600 is against the TMAX - no contest either way I'm afraid.

Up until end of March 2013 total registrations (not necessarily sales) of the C600 was 68 and the C650GT was 58

I think you are getting mixed with tax applications and registration.
That March total should be over 130 according to what I'm looking at

Ah yes, 74 C600s and 60 C650s.
So that makes a whole eight more than I initially thought.
Still wondering how many of that number are demonstrators/showroom ornaments and how many will ever actually see the occasional sunny sunday afternoon bimble down the pub.

Maybe you were looking down to see if your centre stand was still attached?
They can give em away free to the monkeys at Chester zoo, who cares?
