I did a couple of runs with the Yorkshire group,we got on well i thought. I just have an aversion to joining or being a member of any group. I happily join rides now and again, although i prefer to be on my own. I have never stopped riding, my son in law put his bike away the end of September, he will most likely ask to join me again come April. Since September i have not met any Maxi Scooter riders, only motorcycle riders, usually on those Varadero bikes ( apart from a Kymo 300 rider) who turns up at Southport on Wednesdays, but he lives in Southport and travels about 2ml to the Carousel. I just thought Huddsman would not get any takers and as Hawes was somewhere i intended to go why not have a brew with him?. :)

What Yorkshire group is this then? I'm only aware of the Northern Riders group that seems to be made up from members from West Yorkshire.

Well, i have to say that was one of the best rides I've had this winter. It was raining a little when i set off and windy all day, but, apart from a couple of diversions( one in Haslingden and another in Settle) the roads had little traffic, i think i saw two bikes on my outward journey. I got into Hawes at 1.20pm. Parked next to a Deauville in the car park. Two bikes parked on the road. After a drink and a talk with the Deauville rider had a cigar. No-one else showed up so at 2.00pm I set off back via Ingleton by passing Settle and the diversion, saw four bikes coming towards Hawes. Sorry if I missed you but, i was going there anyway, and that days riding was brilliant. :)
