pikey, thanks for all the help. I just need to take it all in. I'm not a natural when it comes to mechanics. I was pretty drunk last night so will read through it again today once my head stops wobbling.

Right so on that video are you talking about 2mins 37 secs? You think that might be causing the vibes?

yes 2mins 37 secs thats the bearing that tends to fail, causes vibration at higher speeds and can start to squeal if left too long :D

I would test the one that is in there first. So as not to waste money. Trust me been there done that.

Haven't got a garage and trying to do work in the street in these winds is impossible. Might be able to use my father in laws garage.

same here, no garage luckily the items i want to do are cosmetic and await dry times, i have been three years working on my scoot so i know what its like when you first get it and need to do things... where do you start :?: if the juddering is only above 6ooo rpm leave it for now and do something else :D

If you measure bearing accurately put measurements in ebay you can usually find a bearing cheaper as long as they are double side rubber sealed (that keeps grease in ) most makers use standard size bearings pay a bit more get stainless steel and brand name bearing rather than chinese ones.Turn bearing with finger if it feels rough replace it
