Thanks folks. Will try to post a pic tomorrow. I've tightened it right up and it's better, but still splutters a bit. Still loud too. Will have another go and post results. It has an embossed honda logo and has the following code: HM KFR K1. It looks like the genuine article, but who knows?

Cheers.

Looks good Helix monkey
just put your hand around the area where it slips on to the pipe when the motors cold and check for leaks as its easy to damage the gasket

Cheers NZ

Popped in for a service as was getting louder! The old manifold that goes into the clamp on the muffler has ripped and is spitting fire! Wow! Unfortunately it also seems to have welded itself to the bike, so garage aren't sure if it will be a straightforward job to remove. Will see what happens, but a lucky escape.

Cheers, will look into that.
Been told the old manifold popped off easily, got a new one on order and fingers crossed should be back on the road by next weekend. Ready for the summer season. Massive relief as garage were ready to condemn the old beast at one point!

Enjoying cruising around the East Midlands on the Helix. Have added 2 poles for that 80s CB look and a homemade Helix tab.

Is it too much?

Its all a bit of fun. That's what the Helix is for me. a fun fun ride.
