Yeh but weekend rides are full of traffic, sunday drivers and plonkers on sports bikes coming the other way, except on your side of the road! I suppose I`m fortunate that for a few years now I can ride out during the week. But I thought maxi scooters were to some extent aimed at older riders who had more time at their disposal, and could ride out between weekends??? B

It has been a very wet start to year TBH and just when thought it was over started again .It does seem to be brightening up tho .Ive only done one ride which was Gloucester haven't been out since . Should be out weekend tho need to keep battery charged up somehow

if we were all single blokes then it would be easy... yet most of us are old farts with a young heart so we have a lot more personal baggage to deal with (family) i would advise that if you want to go out POST it a week in advance and see what happens

in answer to michealphillips.Perhaps that's the way to do it? advertise, the week before that you fancy a ride out, and see if there are any takers. If not Just ride out anyway, its surprising who one meets if your open to it. I met a chap at Pately Bridge, tother day, he was on a big burgman, but had not heard of muppets, so we chatted and he wrote web site down. Then went our separate ways.

It might be the choice of venues I look to see what others are doing and have been to two meets this year and enjoyed both some times I can get sometimes I cant

I was up for Whitby but the arrangements seemed vague and why go round by Helmsley it may be en route for you but not for others

Bike safe in Durham we Have one in Lincolnshire so why go to Durham

And as for your quip about scooter riders maybe its you who likes to feel the wind on your vagina because when I went to the Gloucester meet as far as i could gather from the people i spoke to most had traveled a good distance my day was well over 200 miles

Take a leaf out of Zoomzoom Granddads book make it intersting and make it definate then if there free some muppets may turn up

Most of Ugly bunch meets seem booze related, Stag weekend in Belgium and theres an AA meet this Sunday at least they are coming to terms with there drinking problems and not in denial .
