Well, if you insist in riding around on something that isn't in exactly this year's racing replica livery, you deserve all you get!!!!
I agree! Get used to it

Or retaliate first. Shout F... Off at every bike you meet.

Had a guy kick off yesterday over parking, had to ignore him and his abuse rather than escalate the situation also had to suffer the humiliation of him walking away with his girlfriend smirking at his victory. Do I care, well yes. I found the whole (minor) incident extreamly unpleasant and wasted precious time seething about it. Unfortunately these types of things are becoming all the more frequent. Dignity is fast becoming a thing of the past and it's oh so very sad.

Well I've never received that response before even when I had my Chinese 250 scoot.

Well done you in fact I would say it is your dignity that is in tact and wait to the girlfriend sees his real side! Some years back I pulled into a parking bay not seeing the cue that was waiting. A guy charged up to me red and flushed screaming abuse at me. I wound the window down and apologised and asked he to step to one side and I would reverse out to allow him to park. Has I pointed out to him not worth having a heart attack over.

On my ride out yesterday I called into the biker cafe at Houghton Forest. Full of bikes , I was the only scoot and did not get spoken to. I must be getting old has I sat there in the sunshine watching all the bikers in their leathers which matched the colours of the sparkling clean sports bikes (only come out on nice sunny days), I could not help think how camp it all looked, I am sure they would have died if they knew what was going on in my mind

Cycling is just the same, club riders will not let on if you are not riding a racing bike, plus lycra kit.

It's very sad the certain people think that if you don't have the latest top spec sports machine, you don't have a real bike and therefor deserve abuse!! I had comments from non bike owners, don't you wish you had a real bike!! My answer, what and only use it when it's dry and above 18deg!. And not all year round, as i do with the scoot.

Thing to do is laugh at them. My mate with the FJR asked me if the Burgman came with stabilisers and sent me a photo of lawn mower racing ( which looks fun actually!). I just pointed out that he has had the FJR a few months and dropped it twice! :x a new exhaust for one side is £800! :o
