1. In 1972 Lambretta SX200. Fell off in the snow going to work. Got up, set off again. Fell off again so went home. No injuries
2. In 1977 Rally 200 on the A61 going to Chesterfield, Rear tyre blow out at 50mph with g/f on the back. Thrown off. Hole in my harrington and hole in my elbow. G/f ok. Very lucky!
3. In 1978 Hired p200e in Ibiza. They swill the roads down at night and the road was very slippy. Fell off with the same g/f on the back. No injuries.
4. In 1980 P200e. A61 coming back from Chesterfield, following a car , he turned left, I started to accelerate just as a car pulled out in front of me.
Ambulance to hospital for 4 stitches in each shin and both knees swelled to the size of a hippos. I used a walking stick for 2 months and on using the rebuilt Vespa, I had to ask passers by to kick start it for me.
5. In 2004 Runner 180 fell off in the snow. No injuries.

p.s. I no longer go out in the snow and I'm very careful on the A61 to Chesterfield :D

44 years riding and been lucky enough to come off just once. Was on my Triumph 350 Tiger at the lights, 17 years old, and still of course inexperienced. Roads wet and too much throttle when I moved off, combined with the metal studs in the road defining the pedestriam part of the crossing, and an immediate 90 degree right turn. Bike spun rear wheel on wet road andd metal stud dumping me on my bum at 5mph! Only damage was to my pride. It was in the high street of all places. :o
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Been riding for 55 years & owned too many bikes to list here...

Multivarious face plants off-road... but that is half the fun

On road
1. 1978- showing off on my brothers Yamaha trying to drift it on opposite lock like my mk1 Escort and it spat me off high side. Plain stupid. Grazed leg, massively embarrassed

2. Couple of years ago - got rammed by stolen car involved in a robbery. Managed to make it a glancing blow. Demolished my tupperware, stand and brackets down one side, tore some stuff in my shoulder and back, bruised legs. Still hurts.
Strangely it knocked my confidence in cornering etc. even though there is no logical link.
WE ARE THE BURG resistance is futile

Only one with 3 different rides. This year, super heavy winds blew over a Eucalyptus tree across the entire road, in the shadows around the curve about one minute before I got there. I braked around the curve, slowed, locked-up at the last instant and was snagged by the crown of the tree, where I bumped to a stop at about 10 mph, and then fell over like a tyke on a trike.

No damage to me, a few scratches on the Tmax.

When i was a naughty teenager i did try to do a handstand on my gt250 and fell off and took my knee cap off . The next 2 accidents were as pillion and lucky for me i escaped unhurt .I did well for the next 25 years or so until i was knocked off my Buell , a chap who should not have been driving and uninsured pulled out and stopped so i had nowhere to go .I smashed my shoulder and damaged a lot of nerves in my back with various other bumps bruises and sprains etc . The next one was last winter on the scoot where i fell off as i turned into my drive at 3 mph and slipped on the icy lowered kerb edge .

In 40 odd years of riding, to many to remember, been offed a few times by car's and a lot by black ice. The most recent being about 2010 when a white van driver just drove into the back of me while I was stationary in a queue of traffic, and the missus was on the back, you should have seen the state of her arse it was black and blue the next day. Photo's to follow....lol.

27 years of riding, no major offs.

A few minor cases of dropping bikes: Tesco car park, frozen water from car wash people, both wheels went from under me at 5mph, bike n me slid seperately away; Dropped the Guzzi after stopping outside a Suzuki garage by putting my foot down a hole, Guzzi ended up on my leg, me on the pavement laughing, nice men helped me up again; Atlantic 500, engine cut out on steep hill, I stopped & put foot down on greasy mud, Atlantic went down on its side whilst I stepped off. Atlantic difficult to lift on a slope but centre of gravity low enough to be possible even for an old woman.

Been riding since 1979 and never come off a road bike :|

2011 was on dirt bike for day on Salisbury Plain and after lunch was on tarmac road going round gentle bend when was suddenly high sided at about 40 mph. No idea what happened. Dislocated shoulder, 4 cracked ribs and masses of bruising but correct gear saved me from much worse!
Ken.

Experience is something I only ever get a second after I really need it!
