How about the 12/07/14 - Essex / Hertfordshire Rideout! http://www.maxi-muppets.co.uk/forum/vie ... =8&t=16087" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Not only would you get to meet & greet venerable Muppets but you'd also get to see Mister Spaceprobe's Maxsym 600i ABS in the metal! :lol:

Well, that's my plan anyway! :)

Hi Sym UK,
That's a very generous offer. Would Needhams Motorcycles in Doncaster be a suitable outlet for the 600i? They are listed as a Sym dealer and have been around since Adam was a lad.

Sym UK only seems to reply to the posts he likes, that have something favourable to say about SYM. I had my test run on the Burgman 650 today. Unfortunately it was with a group of other riders at the Suzuki Roadshow event at Bolton Motorcycles. The route they took was not really suitable for a Maxi- Scooter. Although i like to know how it would perform on the bends, i would rather have done some straight cruising and taken some time to play with the controls.My impresson was it was a lot more cluttered around the dash area, i don't really need to know the temperature, or if i'm riding economically. Overall it was okay. I have still not decided,is it really worth nearly two thousand pounds more than another Silverwing. I might try for another test ride with a different dealer, if i can ride on my own. :?

Sylar I know what you mean I was keen on a 650 but when I got to try it, it was not for me the price and weight being two major issues. I know you are feeling frustrated with SYM but before you make up your mind you may want to try a 600 I think they are great value and it rides so well

I've been trying to get a test ride on the 600. I will not agree to buy unless i try one first. It seems Sym Uk is just not listening he may think the bike is the best thing since sliced bread BUT, It is not proven here, I have no qualms about buying another Silverwing and, it looks likely that i will do. :)

I know where you are coming from sylar it's very annoying. I guess I was fortunate having the 400 made it easier to buy the 600 unseen. However when I got the 400 I had to ride down from Brighton to Portsmouth to find one which is about 70 miles. It becomes a labour of love to buy a maxi.

Hi Sylar, Sym UK has offered me a test ride, read his post in this thread. I know he lives in Wakefield but that's not really that far from Bolton, obviously you'll need your passport to get into Yorkshire though.
