Well, the clear answer is not to buy new, and to buy something a few years old. If you are keen on S-wings, there are loads around that are a few years old which will be way cheaper than new, and thus won't have too much to lose value wise. And they are pretty well built so hopefully should be reliable. And then you might well find that the replacement model - if/when it comes - might not be to your taste anyway, or your needs/ tastes change.

Right, I have put together a cheap shortlist.

If anyone gets a chance to narrow any of these down for me, would be appreciated :)

This one is old but looks very clean to me.

HONDA SES 125 cc Dylan

Or do I look at a new Chinese one with 12 months warranty?

£1,099LEXMOTO VIENNA 125 cc Vienna 125

£1,033LEXMOTO DART 125 cc

Or there are three older ones not too far from me :

£800APRILIA SPORT CITY 125 cc

£600PIAGGIO X8 125 cc

£700PIAGGIO X9 125 cc

Or should I spend a bit more?

Thanks!

You want an S-wing, so get an S-wing.

Of the list I would go for the new Lexmoto Vienna, but it ain't my money.....

my thoughts is the winters coming so im with gn2 lexmoto vienna would be a good winter bike for the year, easy to clean and get the crud off, warranty so no probs and still get £700+ next year as fashoinable without the vespa price if you wash the scoot reg :D whenever you buy used you will prob have to spend on something, might as well buy new and just pay the first service :D
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

I suppose if you have a decent dealer nearby and its new so under warranty the Lexmoto might be a runner....for a year or so anyway. But there is the old saying that you get what you pay for! Hence my instinct would be to buy a scoot a few years old from a major manufacturer. But it'd be interesting to see how one of these Chinese scoots stands up to normal use. BUT depreciation will be heavy - it'll be worth almost bugger all after a year, though if you only paid £1100 in the first place it may not matter.
Didn't you want good storage? Have the Lexmoto's got any? It tends not to be a strong point with Chinese scoots....or Vespas, real or clones!

Take the Lexmoto badges off, stick Yamaha ones on, call it a Deelite and it'll last forever

There's a dealer does seven year warranties on Lexmotos.
