IF YOU GOING TO BUY CHINESE , WHICH IS OK AS I WORKED ON TWO, STICK TO BAOTIAN LEXMOTO PULSE ETC
but dont use the above you mentioned... loads of crap reports, you would be better to use

http://www.motorbike-warehouse.co.uk/scooters.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; as you are london based and sell all types they have an ebay as well

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Baotian-Evolu ... 19d05bfbb4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

Buy a new Honda Vision 110 on finance.
They don't seem to lose any value and are almost the same price second hand - so this IMO would be your best bet.

I'd expect this one to go for £1500 or less - maybe worth a punt

as its a three day sale should go for less than a grand, just watch it then bid last minute, dont push price up by bidding early, and showing other buyers your interest..

Thank you everyone for your advice, I think I will stay clear of them then!

To be fair, T&G give everything a good review, look up Paul Blezzard's glowing review of the truly execrable Jialing JL-250 as an example. That said, my experience of Daelim ownership was largely positive, but I would warn against taking anything written in that rag as being authoritative.

DIrect Bikes are the worst of the worst, see if you can find the footage of them on Watchdog from a few years back. Their machines are the very lowest quality generic Chinese crap, you can do much better even on a tight budget. Secondhand Jap (fuel injected Innovas are becoming much more affordable these days) or Euro - excluding Peugeot, naturally - would be the way I'd go, and if you want new w/warranty etc. then you could do worse than the Keeway Partner - not all Chinese stuff is junk!
