well what was meant as a light hearted post turned into yet another debate again, ffs lighten up people, it is what it is, a dog waving nothing more, seen the wave/nod posts before, I could have put the post in there but wanted it a separate entity to put a smile on ya faces, as usual nothing does, enjoy ya werthers originals and ya antiques roadshow and stay moany, am past caring now!

It is light hearted. I don't see any comments that are nasty or vindictive. (When I do see such things I object), but these are only opinions. Meant, at least on my part to be mildly amusing. Hence my comment regarding thinking the foreign riders had cramp.

Any text message can be read in different ways but I see nothing wrong with this thread. Its completely Muppet like.

Seeing as I ride a J300 with Kawasaki green liberally applied, I get taken both for a scooter or a "real bike" and so get plenty of waves/nods from all sorts of riders. So I'll stay right out of this.

Sort of off-topic: it was a bit wet on the roads this morning so the usual morning pedestrian-dashes-across-4-lanes-of-traffic-on-the-Mile-End-Road-without-looking incident resulted in an ABS trigger. Just reminded me that it the weather was getting a bit worse, is all. It was funny, actually: the pedestrian never knew how close he had been to being squashed and I simply shrugged off an emergency stop situation as just another day in the Big Smoke. I love ABS.

On the Euro leg wave thing:

It also gets used as a thank you or acknowledgement if you move over to invite or make it easy for bikes to pass

Would it be possible to get a fake leg to wave on European trips. I bet Rolf Harris has one he's not using at the moment.

The one I pointed out is 'Universal' and can be used both sides of the Channel.

IM really not interested in whether other bikes wave or not
,they did wave years ago because their wasnt so many bikes about when i was a lad of 16 ,but now i just could notcare, less,
im more inclined to watch what im doing and the car drivers who might not see me

I've posted a number of times I stopped waving years ago, and as for that Euro leg wave the first a German biker did that kicking his leg out when overtaking me on an autobahn years ago, I thought it meant "Fuck off with that piece of MZ shit!"

Anyway it's nice to know you've been up to Northallerton recently, it's one of my favourite North Yorkshire Market towns. As there's a Bettys in the High Street I have the occasional ride up there with Brubaker. ( he doesn't wave at bikers either. )

I think you & Irev should give fair warning if you are going toNorthallerton - I go there rather often myself, and it would spoil it if I wasn't the only Maxi-scooterist in town!!!
