Youll miss "The wall " then at Martigny as I call it road snakes up an almost sheer cliff out of the town towards Chamonix .

The burgman is like a breath of fresh air compared to the X10, smoother, more responsive, has a real presence on the road and has all the extra's. I have fitted a chrome sidestand, chrome master cylinder covers, chrome headlamp embellishment and side wind deflectors.

Did you notice much more storage space than the X10?
I looked in the Burgman 400 at the MCLive show and the rear wheel shape seems to take up a lot of the room there, I thought the silverwing was better for storage TBH.

We did the Simplon pass last year but it was ruined by roadworks after roadworks. :(

Hi Globs . Much the same they can both take two full face helmets and a few other bits and pieces. The only downside is that I opted for the recommended top box for the burgman which unfortunately only takes one full face helmet whereas the X10 top box would take two full face helmets.

I hope they are finished before I arrive  . I've done the pass a few times before but not on the Burgman. I'm looking forward to it. :D .

I can always alter my route to take it in. :D .nothing is set in stone other than my overnight accommodations. My misses doesn't like riding or pillion so she will be travelling out by train to Brig and will join me there.

Hi icarter
Live in Irlam. Try to get to Rivvy and Glasson Dock for a brew and bacon butty. If I am lucky some of the bikers talk to me, lol. Suzuki have stopped selling the side wind deflectors me and G apparently got the last two pairs in the UK. I have seen them on ebay from the USA. Let me know oif you want to meet up.
Regards
Frank
