But do you think he'll pay all our petrol bills? :D

To be honest I'll probably have to find some work Apr-Jun, as we plan to be in France for July & Aug, so March works for me but probably not for too many others as weather more risky.

I would love to join in on this madness. We are planing to go down to the south of Spain sometime mid to late May. Going the Portsmouth Santander route with the campervan. So we thought we might help out as backup van for the foolhardy souls on scooters. happy to divert to Portugal for a few days to have a look around. and a meetup at Morrisons in Gib on the way back to Marbella.
The dates are very important so please let me know when you are thinking of going and we will see if we can make it. we are in USA from 11th April until 10 May

Well if this sortie ends up pre-April 11th I'd be back in,but post-10th May would be harder.

Well I'm impressed by your enthusiasm, I mot'd in June 2014 and used it one day, double digit miles no more, then back in the garage, new battery disconnected. I'm just about to tax it from this month.
For me to be able to use it after you leave it really needs a new mot as late as poss, but that can't be hard, but if it is a problem it's good till June 2015 anyway. Obviously I'd pay for the mot.
I am surprised anyone would want to do the Santander ferry as then I only have to fund 700 miles of fuel, it's hard to see the benefit except of course you don't have to take it back to the uk.
It's just possible I could add you to my uk ebike insurance, but that runs out end of May and there's no need for me to renew after that.
Within limits we have plenty of space here though I haven't mentioned it to the wife. Something could be sorted and airport transfer is no problem.

Perhaps I could leave it to you guys to sort the details and if you pm me at mail@peterfinch.net I can organise sending the address and any keys needed. I think you would also need the v5 if stopped and the mot which I think is under the seat (and of course the insurance cert)

I think Pikey has taken the lead on this and should steer the timings.

If it helps, subject to dates, I could collect you from either Stevenage, St Albans or Watford Jct station (by car) and drive over to Marlow with some tools/small air compressor for tyres, to resurrect the scoot and allow you to ride upto Lyn's.

Suspect Spannerman may be persuaded to ride over and give support (and pithy comment!).

Interested in this, could be a useful support rider. Fully retired. Don't do flying. Santander ferry sounds good. I will have to work around getting the time off, my old faithful Lab is still going strong, but should be able to sort something out.

I've sent Lyn a message .Found Marlow on map and could come down stop at my sisters East Barnet for an initial "inspect the scoot meet" .Idea of Santander is to enjoy the Spain /Portugal bit at slow pace rather than long slog thro France extra ferry cost out weighs more overnight stops and extra fuel .So if fuel and flight back included Im in April early May would be nice .
