Twats should have done all they can to get you back on the road and your bike out their garage.
Sounds like they've got a beaureaucratic moron of a manager.

Well as you can imagine I was pretty peed off at losing a summer of riding. The excuse I was given for the handlebars were the the NC DCT had different 'cut outs' in the handlebar to take the wiring for the DCT transmission. That and the fact they were probably trying to squeeze all they could out of the insurance company.

I was there today, the Suzuki line up looked quite tired imo.

In other news - Africa Twin! Looks great in the flesh and was very comfy. The new NC750x looks good too in a vibrant blue, small styling changes but very nice indeed.

The big BMW scoots were both there, looking good too with what appears to be better plastics.

And my favourite vehicle at the show was.....

....a car! The Ariel Nomad, it just looks so cool and funin a totally impractical kind of a way: www.arielmotor.co.uk/nomad/overview/

I went yesterday and what made me laugh was the list of included options on one of the budget 250 bikes included things like Avon tyres, Silkolene engine oil and brake fluid, NGK spark plug and cap etc.

My mate got a real bargain helmet. He was looking to get a Schuberth C3 Pro helmet in Matt black with red pin striping. £549 everywhere. We even checked online and as it was a new colour, it was the same on all web sites. On the Helmet City stand - £370. He nearly took the blokes arm off!!
Paddle harder. I can hear banjo music!

Went at the end. It was quite alright. Checked the Burg 650 and didn't look anything new from the model I've got 15 plate. I didn't see a 400 though. I quite liked the Honda Integra, it sort of a Matt Silver, I'll check if I took pictures

Deal wise, I bought some Kevlar Jeans for £30 including a knee armour. Some other "deals" where actually cheaper on eBay. I thought of checking out the helmets but was too crowdy and since I don't need one couldn't be bother ;-)

I'm also coming to the London one so let's see if it's any better. Never been, if someone has and can share opinions?

Cheers...

I also had some fun. Took a mini skill course with the BMW boys. I'm attaching a pic with me trying to balance it for more than a min without touching the stabilisers, total fail :-D

I also enjoyed the custom style ones (Harleys, Indian, Victory...) another pic of me there...
