I'm glad I defected to scooters, we seem a much more grounded group of chaps and chapesses than the motorcycling fraternity!

Humph, well as a big 1200 traillie owner.... I've got to agree. They are just too big for throwing into an English bog track, you want something small and lightweight for that game.
In the States, Ozz etc they have miles of untarmaced gravel road roads and that is the kind of offroad they are good at.
In the meantime here in the UK they make brilliant tourers and backroad scratchers for irritating sports bikes on the twistes. Albeit a pointless exercise if Mr Sportie can ride any good.
And tin boxes should be taken off unless needed cos it looks stupid going for a coffee ride with full luggage.
Kinda daft for commuting too.
Both my big bike and scootie need clean. As usual

Re: please god, make honda import these to the UK
at 17 years old i had for a year an Ossa 250 trials bike similar to this http://www.nationalmcmuseum.org/1971-os ... ials-bike/
it always started 1st time and we used to go trials riding at the hills at the back of the ICI works on dalton bank road huddersfield google coordinates 53.663384, -1.739152 we were up there a couple of years ago and the tracks (map dont show how hilly it is) you can walk on take dogs etc but no riding allowed like everywhere else... now the ossa i used to ride to work as well, in all weathers including the harsh winters (where i was the only one on the road at 5 am) started off in third gear on roads using the back of heal to change gear. what i remember the best was the incredible lean angle you could achieve after learning its limits a few times on tarmac, still got a scar on length of my thumb from a steep incline where i ran out of puff and the bike did a slow wheelie, i had already half dismounted yet the rear metal mudguard had split and my throttle hand got caught it on dismount. so to hospital i went.
i think their is an asian market for the scoot horobags posted, in the asian markets and indian as there markets are huge and especially as honda in indian market now and a comfier ride on their own man made dirt roads with the chickens and wife and kids on board.
over hear i would before im too old i want to get a yamaha xt 500 as this was my my ride at 19 years old and it was superb.... wait it was not the best at stopping, with the speed it could go

Currently on our annual trip. In lake Maggiore at the moment after meeting up with the wives after riding here. Will do an update when I come back but guess what? Yep, he dropped his new replacement Multistrada two days ago! Damaged his new Pikes peaks panels AND his new helmet! So that's two Multistradas and one MV Agusta, all dropped at 0mph! We've threatened to make him have some stabilisers fitted - He's gotta learn to put his feet down when he stops!Meldrew wrote:I remember reading about your mate with the break dancing Ducati last year!

How is that more capable at off-roading/running on crap roads than, say, an Innova? Too much plastic to break if/when you fall off too. And it's spectacularly ugly! Sorry Mark
Things Honda should have sent us, but didn't:
- Fusion/Helix post-1993, including the 20th anniversary model
- Giorcub
- Big Ruckus
- Cross Cub
Also, Japan/US gets the Morphous and we get the Majesty. There really is no justice.
