Eventually went with Avon Vipers, mainly because that was all the supplier had in stock! Currently scrubbing them in now I finally finished the oil change. The main difference so far from the OEM tyres is that the front feels 'heavy'. Might be over inflated, will have a tinker over the next week or so

Re: Tyres for 650
I did notice they look like there is more rubber on them than the OEM ones. Might have something to do with the 'feel'. I will check the pressures and securing bolts before I go out tonight just to set my mind at ease that the darn things will not fall off

Re: Tyres for 650
Front tyre was 32psi. I know it says 33psi on the side but I have pumped it up to nearer 38 to see how that alters the feel. Will post the results if it ever stops raining!

Re: Tyres for 650
With the front at about 38psi it feels a lot better. Still a tadge heavy but it handles well enough in the wet and chilly weather that was last night. Back may need a few more psi but will sort that after the soaking I will get this afternoon riding to Southampton and back

Re: Tyres for 650
Definitely needed more than a few psi. It was only 32 and felt horrible. Now 38-40 and will take it out to work and the for a play tomorrow
