In the circumstances you describe I'd categorise you as a carer.

AFAIC it's a carefully considered act and in no way reckless.

Those 3 words summarise the reduction of risk, "carefully considered act."

Unfortunately not everyone carefully considers before they act, which is why we have rules. Equally unfortunately, the same people that don't carefully consider their actions are the same ones that break the rules for their own ends.

Happily, Grumpy has obviously taken all feasible precautions to reduce the risks to his Mother, the rewards being that they are both alive and well.

Last Friday I did some work for a widowed client of mine whose husband died in January of covid-19. Killed by the lack of careful consideration over Christmas by his Son and family ( and being painfully honest, also by his own ignorance.)

I wish I could say it was a first. I also wish I could say it would be the last.

Gawd thats awful, you hear so many stories like that, the poor soul, and his wife.

I ride with my visor down, with 2 layers of cloth as well, that`s for me and everyone else.

I also use 2 pairs of disposable gloves when getting petrol, one 2 set on the cap, one 2 set on the pump, and carefully peel them back off into themselves not catching my wrist or skin.

i`m not excatly Mr Immunity and high BP, so very careful, but if everyone was that careful , it would be all for the good.

I saw an old chap go straight in to the post Office the other day no mask at all !!! Shocking. ( and I asked outside later, no hes not exempt etc )

Could all too easily be 2024/2025 until we can really relax properly.
