The news said don't walk, drive or ride your motorbike today and stay away from the coast and boats! Thank goodness they didn't say "don't ride your scooter"! So I'm off for a ride to the coast on my GTS with my Kayak strapped to the bike. The ride should be lovely and exhilaratingly. Should get some really good photos of the waves as they crash over me! Can't see anything wrong with that, can you? I don't think it will be dangerous in this RED weather warning area do you?

PS. Weather girl has said Essex will be gusting to 80+mph Where I live. Not looking forward to this. Stay safe everyone!

I know what you mean Peter. Our whole house shook violently at the storm peak. Our neighbours have all suffered damage to aerials, roofing, fencing etc. Me & Mrs Data have so far escaped danage completely at the mo. All a bit worrying. :(

StephenC wrote: Thu Feb 17, 2022 4:19 pm So what's the next one going to be?

Hmm.... Finn, Felix, Francisco, Frank, Fabian, Francis, Fred, Floyd, Fulton, Finton, Frazier?

Then it'll be a girls name with G - Gertrude!
The next one (not yet defined) will be Franklin!
Here in the NE, it was mostly calm all day as the centre of the storm passed over us - then at 3.30pm turned violently gusty! Now slowly subsiding...

Most days here apart from today will have 40-50mph gusts. This will probably bring down some weakened trees.
