A 2012 Vespa GTS300, i'll just have to squeeze the Boss on the back somehow
Cheers, Graham.
Thanks, yes a Vespa wasn't on the list, but in one of my replies i said what i really want is a Vespa GTS, but couldn't see the passenger accommodation working, but now i have to make it workknight2 wrote: Mon Jun 13, 2022 2:12 pm Just a thought, my daughter has a disability which meant she couldn't get on the motobike any more. But she finds it easy to get on the scooter if I put it on the side stand so she can park her bum on the pi!lion then swing her leg over forwards, then I can get on side stand up and away we go.
Glad you got sorted even if it wasn't on the list.![]()
Thanks Data, the only obvious job i can see at the moment is too much slack in the throttle & i've found a video on line showing how to adjust it, the bikes just been serviced & the rear brake pads replaced, in fact the rear brake seems a lot more powerful than the Front, but of course i've never used a hand brake before.Data wrote: Tue Jun 14, 2022 5:32 pm Well, a good choice in my opinion! Although I am a little biased...lol. You've done the right thing ordering the pillion footrest extenders. I actually don't have them as my wife can no longer ride with me. However I did go to Birmingham from North Essex with a passenger (169miles one way) without issues. Make sure to crank up the rear suspension & it'll do fine.
I've done just about every conceivable job on the GTS bikes so if you need any pointers let me know! Good luck Graham. Enjoy!
While I love my Vespa too, I had FIAT Brava for a while which a thought was a total pile of sh!tsmeghead wrote: Wed Jun 15, 2022 11:34 am They are fantastic scooters Beetle. I've had 2 over the last 8 years. They seem to work their way into your being like Italian vehicles tend to do. My little FIAT Uno did the same in the 1980's as did both of the Guzzi's I've owned. I love mine to bits.

Thanks Guys, we also have had a fair few Fiats & a Couple of Guzzis, in fact we still have our Panda Twinair which we bought new in 2012 & we love it, it's at just under 90K miles & all we've ever spent on it is tyres, brakes & shocks & routine servicing, of course it has it's "problems" the air conditioning is rubbish & has never worked properly , but a small price to pay for a car with such character, on the other hand in the early 70's we bought a used Fiat 850 & it was an absolute dog.
