Part of the problem is common to all scooters. Apart from ones with large wheels like the Honda SH 350. Small wheels, which cannot handle potholes as well as bigger wheels.

I think there's rather more too it....I've had two biggish wheel scoots including a SH300, and both were the most uncomfortable scoots I've owned!

As someone who has just moved from an ADV 350 to a XADV. 750 yes there is a considerable improvement in suspension which is adjustable front and rear.

However, all this comes at a considerable cost. This has to be taken into account.

I still regard the ADV 350 great value for money.

The ADV 350 is beginning to look like a good move if you want to buy used - currently 80 on Autotrader alone. It's really the only bike left on my shopping list and the so-called suspension issue doesn't bother me at all. Dodging pot holes is all part of the game.

The ADV450 is certainly a great little bike for not much money, and IMO quite a lot has to be spent to see a noticeable improvement. But, the "improvement" might not be what you need, in which case, brilliant!

I wanted cruise control, and a bit more power, and these do make my current bike cost twice as much as my old ADV 350. Is it twice the bike, of course not, but to me it's worth the extra. YMMV.
