As it's only a stalling issue on some bikes, I wouldn't have taken it in if mine was ok, why fix if it aint broke and all that.

My Xevo had a few (3 I think) random stalls when it was (nearly) new - happened when slow speed filtering but started right up which was lucky as I was blocking traffic and looking a bit of a tool (ha ha look that guy stalled a scooter!). It's been rock solid since though

If a scooter stalls in traffic it could be very dangerous.
Because of the starter interlock, you have to come to a full stop and apply the brakes before it will restart.
A car could very easily run into the back of you.

It could also be disasterous if it stalled when you were turning right at slow speed,if you didn't have your wits about you,it could fall over into the path of a oncoming vehicle, not nice at all.

I would definately have the re-call done,in my experience if Honda have got a problem, when they do a re-call it 99% of the time clears the fault up.

i did bring my service book in case (not sure) if anything had to be written and stamped, but was told that its not needed as its on honda's world wide database or something like that now.
My dealer signed and stamped the letter to say the ECU had been replaced :)

I would get in touch with the dealer, and see what they can do.
They could put a note in the service book and stamp it perhaps???

Just a thought, it could be the new keys not quite engaging in the old ignition? It only takes a little turn to switch off OR APPEAR TO STALL.

It doesn't really matter whether you get proof or not,so long as you know it is right. The warranty recall/repair will of been logged on the database against your vehicle and it would of been "completed" so if anyone checked ie another Honda dealer it would not show up as a recall and they would know it had been completed. If they don't log and "Complete" the work they don't get paid.
If it hadn't been done, the next time they logged your service it would flash up to say there was an outstanding warrany repair/recall against that vehicle, that is why it is important for new owners to fill in the new vehicle details in the service book and send it off,so if a recall arrises they can contact the present owner, plus I think they can contact DVLA.

I think the new ECU will adjust to your existing sensors and learn your readings. Should you suffer a complete battery failure or the battery is disconnected for longer than 30 minutes, the ECU may reset back to its standard de-fault settings and stalling may happen again until it re learns its stuff again. Don't panic captain.

As far as I know this goes for any later fuel injected Honda. If you start the machine, don't touch the throttle, let it warm up until the fan comes in or the engine is at operating temperature, the ECU will automatically adjust itself to the proper settings and parameters.
I know when you PDI a bike, fit a new battery you should do this, otherwise the machine may run rough on idle or not run at it's best, something worth knowing, especially if you remove the battery for any reason.

We do this at work when we do a machine health check.
