Lyn: I have considered buy back and forgoing the replacement of TMax stuff and changing it to something like this 530, keeping the original chain bath, for summer riding by getting second hand parts... just not sure of the difficulty of performing the required stuff or if its worth the hassle.

definately not funkie, would cost a fortune and not have a great value. Buy a standard T-max, Yamaha make them the way they are for a reason, (imo). ;)

RIDE a 530 and you CAN justify it. Just did 120 miles through the local mountains today on my 500, with my brother on his 530, while everyone else was at work. 8-) It IS worth going out on a limb a bit to get it. Just ask those who have done so... :roll:

(At least you don't have to be the first to import one into the country and bring it cross-continent in the dead of winter...)
