Just ordered a bigger screen for the Beverly350, so this must mean it's going to be a long term-er with me.

Forza 300 gave it first wash for a month and a bit of ACF50. Not too shabby only a bit of furring on some bolts.
Took the seat bolster off as I'm thinking that at 6 feet tall I need to sit a bit further back to be comfortable and it certainly was. However the seat without the bolster was fugly so maybe shave the bolster a bit and recover. More investigation needed.
Rode to local dealer and can collect my new Triumph Tiger 800 XRx next Tuesday!

Weekend before last I washed and re-oiled the X10-350 air filter as I thought they may have over oiled it. Last weekend I changed the dino oil out for some Mobil1 0w40 as a) it's winter, b) at over 2,500miles if it's not run in by now I'll end up selling it before it's been run in and c) it's better oil.
As a result my MPG has risen from the low 60s where it languished immediately after my 600 mile service to 68.5mph which is far closer to what I was at pre-service.
In the process I discovered that the access panel in the seat-compartment allows you really good, big access to the engine, and that taking the filter out is a knack but not that tricky and you can leave the fairing panels on.
It's still a big bus though, I feel more like a motorbike hooligan than a scooter guy.

Ok, this was a few days ago but I finally got round to changing the oil in the final drive of my Silverwing and my PCX.
This time I used one of those squeeze bottles where the inner tube goes right to the bottom of the tube so you can hold it upright whilst squeezing the oil out. This made the job far easier. Honda see fit to provide very small holes for filling the oil through so some sort of squeeze bottle or syringe is essential.
The bottle came from Amazon and is the sort that tattooists use for squirting antiseptic everywhere.

I went for fish and chips at Hastings today, started thinking about another 700 to save fuel, they get a real 70-85 mpg, amazing for a 700, I would go for a used NC700/750X auto myself with extras already fitted, centre stand, hugger, bigger screen, luggage, one of the Honda Owners Club members was pleased when he p-exed his Deauville for one. It needs the few extras to make it work really well.

Took the Blackwing out for a spin to Rusper using the A 285 and A272. Had a coffee there and bought a kilo of their Sussex Charmer Cheese.

fantastic cheese.
Got quite a few nods from Power Rangers on the 272!
One thing though.... The winter touring screen is large (see pics in previous post) but I got a very cold back due to the wind vortices created. May change back to the smaller screen sooner than I intended.
