Took my top box and panniers to be sprayed to match the scoot.

took the rear wheel to the lads garage to remove the tyre,

Not Good...the bead is ripped and side wall threads showing through from a wack into a pothole,,,rim squared off and bead ripped. new tyre just ordered

Just about to order some paint as we have a local place that does bike paint.1/4 lt is £27.96p I think it may be wrong black thou as all black burgers were metallic black mine is just black

Fitted new battery to the Maxsym, hopefully be alright now.

DE-gundged the rear caliper, fitted new pads and pad pins, painted the rear wheel and it is now drying ready for new bearings seals and new tyre.
Will paint the front panel tomorrow.

Sounds like you are motoring on with the "project" Lyn, I did say the rear wheel was totally rogered that's why I got you the replacement

I would just scrap the old one that's what I was going to do.
I am looking forward to the pics when its finished, I may even pop up to see it.
I bought a one owner early Versys from a nice old guy in Halesowen, just got to sort the warped front discs, misfire and forks with no damping

having already replaced the clutch cable and sorted the non working rear brake.
Starting to think as much as I like fettling (or turd polishing as I call it) and saving these bikes new maybe the way to go
