I think I agree - I was initially unimpressed, but became more impressed reading the reviews, and its quite a decent sized beast with lots of luggage room. But it remains the fact that its a 25bhp scooter Honda are (probably) going to try and sell for £5k or thereabouts, which is just far too much. If it was a 350 or 400 with 33bhp, it would a lot more attractive. OK I know the Burger 400s over £6k now, but thats a huge scoot for your money!SpikeOne wrote:I gotta be honest, I'm not sure what market they're targeting.
If sales of the Downtown were better I might be prepared to venture that they are competing with that, but the slight gawky top end, (it almost looks like they gave up before they finished the job), and price tag that come with it, suggests not.
Bearing in mind that it's not even a 300, the only competition that I can see is the Xmax 250 and I'm not sure there's a enough of a call for a 200+cc maxi when you can pick up a 400 for the same price.
There's better looking scoots out there with bigger engines and smaller prices.

£5000 for a Forza is far too much considering the new Xmax 400 is £5400 OTR and you can still pick up an unused Xmax 250 for under four grand.

Yes, but the Xmax does not have ABS and you are limited on where you can position your feet, aren't you ? ( feet flat)gn2 wrote:£5000 for a Forza is far too much considering the new Xmax 400 is £5400 OTR and you can still pick up an unused Xmax 250 for under four grand.

Still remains to be seen if the UK Forza will have ABS, there is a non-ABS version.
The 2009 onwards Xmax allows feet to be placed in the wrong position for those who like that sort of thing.

I don't know what the "wrong" position might be but I found the same thing as StephenC with the smaller Xmax, I was put off by not being able to ride feet forward, cruiser style. Felt like a quality build but smaller than I'd hoped.

Depends what you want I suppose.
I would never ride feet forward so the smaller size of the Xmax would be OK for me.

Ive had my 2007 xmax for three years now & I've never had a problem resting my feet on the foot boards, you must have 18 inches to play with "oooher
" you can have your feet tucked back with knees bent motorbike style or knees at ninety degrees, no problems.

Re: 2013 Honda NSS300 Forza
Just had an official email from my Honda dealer and the Honda Forza 300 UK price is to be £4499 and due in the showroom in July, when in July is still not known.
Re: 2013 Honda NSS300 Forza
That's great news.
£4499 for the Forza is very competitive compared to the Yamaha Xmax at £4499 and Sym Joymax at £4390.
Wonder if we'll be getting the ABS Forza?
