Measured up the soft panniers I've used on all my bikes on Mr T. They fit fine without touching on the exhaust. I'll use a "car boot mat" rubberised sheet thingy to prevent scratching to bodywork.
Also made a couple of small brackets to fit my backpack (sideways) into the footwell without using velcro or straps. They'll fit on with the Allen screws which attach the aluminium footplates, using longer Allen screws. I'll use a couple of short bungees to attach the backpack to them. Should provide enough storage for my trip up to Scotland later this week, and I know they're waterproof, which I think is going to be needed... :)

I made a cutter to cut the gear teeth, what a pain in the arse that was to get right, then i found one with
the correct form in the gear hob box    should have looked in it first i spose..

Put another 300 miles on my new 650 Burgman. I have it booked in for its 600 oil change on Wednesday.

She will live again, but not today i have other things to do
Made a second gear today, first was a dummy run job to make
sure i had the gear tooth geometry correct..no good putting
a new gear in it if the teef don't aline
What had happened to the old one was! the primary gear bearings
are toast and that let the P gear move, up and down and rock a little
as well. This rocking acted like a broach and cut the teeth down on
the primary pulley shaft. it still goes together, BUT, it will not last
very long as is.
