well done the engine and gear oil... with the engine oil took of the large strainer as well, going by the yamaha majesty and versity manuals they say 1.4 ltr yet there displacement is 249cc and 264cc so i was expecting slightly more, i got out 1.65 ltr so thats the amount when refilled + 80ml of ZX1 as well.
the gear oil on said yamahas were 250ml.. mine was 300ml +10 ml of ZX1 and was 80/90 gear oil so thats what i put back in, the owners manual stated 110ml of gear oil and .9ltr of engine oil     im sure that some of the stats in the owners manual are from a 50cc scoot
the large thumb strainer
Image
the bits of swarf that came out of the drain plug, strainer was ok
Image
used ipone 10w 30 semi synth and shell 80/90 gear oil. the castrol bottle is the easy pour empty i use and the halfords is the waste oil container :D
so no gear oil change for a long time and will maybe do the oil at 2000 or so

Same as michael...
The SH had its 600m service / oil change... and did the Tx oil myself with Halfords 10w40 gearbox oil as this wasnt done at the service...
When they changed the engine oil it was out the bottom drain bolt and the mesh thimble doesnt / didnt get checked...
So now at 1000miles and armed with ruby red Castrol 10w30 semi, did an oil change, and checked the mesh thimble, 850ml took it up to the max mark on the dip stick, and also re-did the Tx oil with 120ml of the Castrol 10w30... Handy both can be done out of a 1lt bottle...
Purchase 4lt of the Castrol 'racing' fully synthetic 10w30 for the next change @ 2500, but thought it best to use semi for this change to finish running in.
Halfords tradecard gets 20% off the Castrol oil 1lt and 4lt bottles ;-)

Third ride since purchase in November: checked tyres, oil level and went for a ride - filled up with fuel and bought some allen keys.Adjusted mirrors and screen. Got back just as the rain began - my mileage to date - 134.
