Had a fail and a success this week success was a BT6 bike to bike intercom, it not only allows you to talk to another rider within 1200 mtr but you can link to a smart phone for calls and music and it will link to a bluetooth equipped sat nav, better than expected for £30.
Fail was the sat nav bailing out at speed due to the mount actually braking, looked like a fatigue fracture, it's been on at least 3 bikes and seen some interesting speeds so cant complain to much.

Don't like some fool fill the fuel tank to the last drop, as soon as the fuel reaches the bottom of the fuel filler tube stop, the bike is fitted with a EVAP system so if you over fill it fuel enters this system and you can have hard starts when hot and the engine can cut out momentarily just after a fill up.

Good tip, that. I saw it said not to go higher than that in the handbook but it didn't say why. Now I know.....

I saw it but ignored it, will treat with a bit more respect in future.

Does it have a rear mud guard or hugger fitted as standard

No it's pretty open round the rear wheel and although it does not get as dirty as
some a hugger would be a good idea if used year round.

No hugger on mine either. I never clean under there and do scoot all-year: I'm a very bad boy

I'm not sure that most huggers have any effect whatsoever on the amount of crap that collects around the rear wheel. I fiited one to my Tmax mk6 - complete waste of money as its just another thing to clean.
Maybe if you can find one longer than the little short ones that are often sold, it might work - ie a proper mudguard!

My old Style 250 XMax had a great hugger...
Covered the rear wheel and way down each side too...
alas, nothing like it on the XMax400...

Power and ride wise has anyone compared xmax 300 to 400 at higher speeds
