Re: What have you done to your Scooter today?
Changed the oil filter, air filter, oil, fitted new seat ram, oiled cables, general clean about inside the engine bay. I have always had a mistrust of garages and servicing and once again I just could not believe what I found. The bike is a 2009 AN400 K8 with 6 service stamps in the book by a bike dealer from the east coast. The air filter had never been changed, the oil filter was also suspect and I believe this is more than likely original considering the condition of it, the crankcase had never been opened to check the drive side of things, final transmission oil had never been changed, I had to use a windy gun to remove the oil drain plug it was that over tightened and we all know the risks of that but there was no other option. Now while the mileage is only about 6000 and some of these things are not normally done till about 7500 mls what happened to the annually or biannually if the millage is not met. I think its back to the old saying " If ya want it done properly do it yourself"......

If you can then do it yourself...
... And if you can't, then learn and do it yourself.
It's very satisfying.
I actually know a couple of places that I would trust but I enjoy doing these things myself ( and I'm a bit tight!)

Fitted a new lock to my Givi topbox (the box is on the scooter so hopefully that counts). Dead chuffed with myself I was. Bit of a gamble as I didn't know if the lock would fit (its quite an old topbox) . Still £10 lock over £200 topbox was worth a roll of the dice.

Ordered parts for the damage to my TMax caused by a pedestrian, its going to delay the wrapping a bit.
Also in the middle now of refurbing the plasti-dipped wheels.

Re: What have you done to your Scooter today?
Thanks for the offer Lyn but that panel on my current TMax is all good, I just need a front left badged panel because it snapped in half, left indicator and yellow front left upper panel because my current one is now lightly lightly scuffed

Fitted Givi pillion back rest (home made rack bolted to preexisting threaded holes on underside grab rail only for holiday, not permanent).
