Well it brightened up about 2 so got out with my polish and spanners and checked brake pads, tightened up the weeping oil bleed screw and while the panels were off took a few more off and checked air filters and sprayed a bit of ACF50 on radiator and frame members etc. Then the rain started again so hurriedly got the plastics back on and found I had one screw left over.. :o
I immediately knew which one it was but with rain persisting tightened up and put the cover back on.. I left the same screw out last time. I'll wait for better weather. :)
The screw I always forget!!!!!!! resized!.jpg

Getting wet on it going to Action Stations in Portsmouth for the WW2 show my club is exhibiting at then, if the weather holds true, getting wet coming back with all the junk I had on display. Not a long trip but at least the rain will give the bike a wash plus stop the front disk from squealing when I am gently applying the brakes - really really must get around to taking it off and giving it a good clean one evening next week when the weather is dry

Made the most of the sunshine and got out with my spanners. Mileage is now 9600 miles.
Checked both plugs. Colour "spot on".
Painted exhaust with halfrauds fake HR paint..again.
Painted shock and rearstand which had corroded with the winter salt.
Replaced plastic rivets at rear of Y-shaped panel.
Don't know if I inadvertently cracked lower panel under footwell or if it had happened previously. A job for JB Weld in the future.
ACF50'd the frame members to RHS, fasteners brackets etc. Inspected radiator for corrosion. No corrosion at all. ACF50 must take the credit here. :) Put back the screw I left out last time!
Despite my best attentions two winters worth of salt and sitting outside under a cover have taken their toll and my scoot no longer looks like a new one. (mind you it is 6 years old this year)
