Xmax,Xcity,Majesty or the Honda SH

I have discounted the S wing as I think I will struggle to get one on my budget.

Have you thought about an X9/X8 250? You'll get one of those well within your budget they're cracking bikes.
Ive been avoiding them to be honest due to reports of dont bother going out in the rain on them otherwise you will bugger the instruments.

That's a dramatic over-exaggeration and would only relate to the X9 (with digidash) anyway.

If you can find a Yamaha to suit at your price fair dos, but don't necessarily exclude the X8.

Or the X9 I've owned three & never had any issues with the dash.

Last year whilst riding in Germany I was following a SYM Joyride 200 on my Xevo 400. The little SYM was performing very well up to about 55mph and I could only get past him after that speed when his tailed off a little. I was 2 up and loaded up but still the 200 impressed me.

Yes, with the X9, its a good idea that the dash is removed and replaced with some sealant. Ones that came from JT's like mine had this done as a part of the PDI.

What'll scare you even more is the SYM 200 is in fact only 171cc!!!

But for the OP I would reccomend a SYM you can get a 2nd hand non EVO GTS 250 carb or injected for under £2000 (try
to get the injected version if possible though). The non EVO joyride 180(171cc) can be acquired for under a £1000. SYM's are reliable as Jap stuff but without the insane price tags for everything from services to parts.

Looks like there are plenty of SYM to choose from including a couple of voyagers. :D
