horobags wrote:John, is there any chance we could meet at the Rocket centre, near you, and then head up through Clitheroe towards Skipton, as a blat up the M6 to Lancaster is the last thing I want.

No problem Mark, what time do you want to meet up?

There is a nice cut through to the Rocket centre via Haslingden Grane (B6232), takes you from A57 trunk Rd (M66) to a short junction away from the Rocket centre. Cuts off a huge corner too.
Just past where we met for the Bike show/protest
Good views and a nice road surface with sweeping bends but now reduced to 50mph

There are a few nice routes from Hawes, you could go up buttertubs and over to reeth then richmond etc depends what everyone wants, i dont mind a trip over to whitby or Scarborough but its a treck for the lancs lot, what about hawes to sedberge or ingleton then through skipton-blubberhouses and up through ripon and masham and into leyburn. then its not too far out if anyone drops off to head home,

Ghost you are probably right, iam being a bit churlish. Last ride out i had was with the ugly Bunch, and i got a bit peeved with the way i was left behind on a toilet brake. I had no idea where i was and everyone just buggered off and left,as i was looking at my map my son in law came back and told me where everyone was. I would never do such a thing to anyone that I was with. I said then I would never ride with a group again. Iam not big on forgive and forget(I never forget). The ride is still a week off so I've time to reconsider, if I say i will be there then I will.

when you came out of the toilet in wales, we had gone, coz we were blocking the f**kin road, people couldnt get past, thats why we moved to the car park juat around the corner, including your son in law, who came back to tell you where we were. If small things like that piss you off, maybe you are better off riding on your own.
