I took a friends Silverwing out for a spin a cpl of days ago to compare bikes, I didnt like it ,didnt feel the same in corners, not as easy to lay down going around a roundabout ( some bikes you get an instant confidence feel for them ) the engine felt more viby than mine also what I like about my 650 is the instant pull as you accelerate, no waiting for the cvt to wind up, Mirrors on mine were better to and I kinda like the wide front end wind jammer on mine now, He took mine out and said he preffered the mirrors, also he said mine was quicker :)

Oh yes...that reminds me - the Burger was a nightmare to keep clean around the rear wheel!!!! The Tmax gets filthy there (no hugger) but at least you can get to it!!! Bit puzzled by the Givi rack thing - when I (well, dealer) fitted a Givi topbox to the Burger, it was so easy - you removed the backrest, and the fitting plate went straight in using the same holes. Maybe it was a different sort of box? (Monolock/monokey).

On a general note, I only rode the wing for a half hour or so, and didn't like the feel - well, the lack of it, from the front wheel. Felt amazingly cramped for such a big beast as well.

As for the Burgmans mirrors being better than the Silver Wings I have to disagree, neither are perfect. The Silver Wings are well known for giving a good view of your shoulders, that's easily sorted by fitting mirror extenders like I've done It's dry feet all the way with the Silver Wing
I may as well mention again the Burgman taking at least twice the time to clean as the Silver Wing, especially that dirt trap rear end and the effort of turning that five spoke brake dust magnet rear wheel.
+1 for me.
Mrs B was never very comfortable on the Burgman - much happier on the Wing, and so am I!

But couldn't lack of feel be caused by the tyre fitted (or state of it)? My GTS had an Avon viper shyte on front and after a
1000 miles the front just didn't feel right. Now have a continental twist and the front actually feels like its there.

Interesting. I've no idea what tyre the 'wing I rode had on - it was a pretty new one in the Honda demo fleet, so probably wouldn't have had anything too rubbish on there. In the brief period I had Avons on my TMax, it did have feel, just very bad and scary feel!
